Vietnam Veterans’ Day 2025

Commencing at 5PM on Monday, August 18th

The Westbury RSL will host a Vietnam Veterans’ Day service at 5pm on Monday, August 18th, 2025, to honour the service and sacrifice of all Australians who served in the Vietnam War. The date marks the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966, one of the most significant Australian engagements of the conflict.

This solemn occasion will bring together veterans, families, and the broader community to reflect on the courage, endurance, and mateship of those who served. The ceremony will include wreath-laying, a moment of silence, and the traditional Ode of Remembrance.

Westbury RSL invites all members of the public to attend and show their respect for the 60,000 Australians who served during the war, including the 521 who gave their lives.

Following the service, light refreshments will be provided. All are welcome to join in this important act of remembrance.
